I never thought I would find myself saying that someone could perform Misery Business as well as Hayley Williams until last Saturday night. Until that morning, I had no idea who Abi Carter was, however following that performance, I can assure you I won’t be forgetting her anytime soon. Having only been able to listen to a select few songs before heading into the show, I really didn’t know what exactly I was getting into. Learning more about the American Idol winner set expectations very high. Abi Carter completely shattered those expectations as soon as she set foot on the stage. =

Arriving at Neighborhood Theatre gave me my first shock of the night as I came up to a line stretching down the sidewalk. The side stage was packed out for this show and the people there did not fail to bring the excitement and anticipation of how good this show would be. Laur Elle kicked off the night with a strong opening performance that got everyone moving. The crowd came alive quickly and was amped for the headline. From the first note the energy in the building was electric non-stop and the crowd was engaged. The setup for the headline was phenomenal and Abi Carter delivered with flying colors. Abi commanded her stage and gave her fans exactly what they came to see, her absolute best performance to close out this stage of her tour.
