For starters, MUNA is a group that is quickly rising to stardom and doing so while reminding their fans how “life’s so fun” - the title of this very tour, as well as one of their best known lyrics.

The group touched down in Toronto at History this past Sunday night for a sold-out evening, quickly getting to business and playing right through their tracks and keeping the energy at an all-time high. To say that this was one of the loudest crowds is an understatement, as everywhere you turned everyone was singing each and every word. Katie, Josette, and Naomi kept everyone engaged and were quite animated throughout their 19-song setlist, and had little fun anecdotes to share starting about midway through the set.

They of course brought the fun, tossing a couple of blow-up horses into the crowd to pass along during “Anything But Me”, as well as gleefully accepting a Pride flag from a fan and keeping this displayed on stage. Katie did also take a moment to acknowledge that although they were playing on Mother’s Day, that the day can be quite difficult and a different experience for some, before leading into “Kind of Girl”. For their last song of the evening, “Silk Chiffon”, they brought openers Nova Twins out to finish up, to loud cheers and applause.

Although this particular tour has now wrapped up, you’ll be able to catch MUNA supporting Taylor Swift on select dates this summer. Also keep an eye out for when they schedule new dates in the future!
