Noah Kahan’s Stick Season emphasizes life in New England. And in Boston on October 22, the crowd could relate to every single lyric he sang. Donning a jean jacket with a patch that says “Strafford” (Kahan’s hometown), the Vermont native highlighted his northern pride.
The crowd seemed united: strangers yet a tight-knit composition. As “Everywhere, Everything” blared from the speakers, the crowd seemed to echo back lyrics– it felt truly euphonic.
He introduced his setlist with “False Confidence” rocking Fenway’s MGM Music Hall with heavy bass. Other songs on the setlist were classics – “Young Blood” and “Stick Season” to name a few. And, as the show progressed, he went on a monologue about the feelings he felt for Boston:
“It’s my dream show.”
“Glue Myself Shut” reflected this message and as fans danced and held one another tightly, they too felt that message– that this show was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
