Suki Waterhouse rocked the Leader Bank Pavillion on a cold September night. Accompanying Father John Misty on his tour, Suki Waterhouse began the opening set with “Moves.” Bundled up in a winter jacket and combating the autumn winds, her hair blew with each passing breeze. Yet even with the cold, Suki Waterhouse played the weather to her advantage.
With a discography that highlights the themes of sadness and heartache, the moody weather seemed to only amplify her lyrical genius. As she sang lyrics like “You adored me before” and “I thought I’d uncovered your secrets,” the crowd seemed to connect with her on a personal level. Full of intense and raw emotion, Suki’s vocals blew everyone away.
The crowd at Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion was silent that night. Phones were out of sight and the crowd was engaged, tuning into Suki Waterhouse’s set and compelled with emotion. And with each passing song, from “Melrose Meltdown'' to “Good Looking,” the crowd listened.
