GALLERY: Surf Curse

Formed in 2013 in Nevada by singer and drummer Nick Rattigan (also known for his solo project Current Joys) and guitarist Jacob Rubeck, their band Surf Curse brought an unmatched energy to Chicago’s Vic Theater. Touring their fourth album Magic Hour, fans packed into the sold out show for a Tuesday night filled with indie rock tunes. The pit was sure to mosh and crowd surf to their newest releases and jam out to fan favorites such as “Freaks” with “Disco” as their final song. There was truly not a dull moment in their set as the boys made sure to crack jokes between songs and fall on top of each other when walking on stage. The high energy crowd, uptempo songs, and band’s personality made for an incredible concert experience for all in attendance.
