Iconic New York rock band, The Strokes, took to the stage in San Antonio opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Alamodome. Time and time again the Strokes prove why they are hailed as one of the most influential rock bands of their generation. The band took us back to the days when they came onto the scene and forever changed the rock landscape by opening with “Barely Legal” from their iconic debut album, Is This It. Casablancas effortlessly transitioned between the band's discography, crossing from the raw, garage-rock anthems of their debut album to the more polished and melodic tracks, such as “Bad Decisions” and “The Adults Are Talking” from their latest album release, The New Abnormal. Their music continues to resonate with fans old and new, some fans on the barricade had signs which read “I came for The Strokes,” solidifying their status as legends of their genre.
