Arlie – the on the rise, everchanging, genre bending, multi-talented Nashville based band find themselves on another adventure in Carrboro, North Carolina. Taking on one of their favorite venues – Cat’s Cradle, once more.
Bandmates – Ella Mine (Keys), Luke Saison (Drums), Jake Robuck (Guitar), took the stage one by one in stylish zoo keeper outfits. Ominous music began to fill the room, accompanied by various sounds of birds chirping. The atmosphere began to feel almost like a rainforest and the energy in the venue changed, out came Nathaniel Banks (Vocals, Guitar) with majestic blue wings, a blue suit, and bright yellow boots, giving homage to the beautiful hyacinth macaw (a well known blue parrot, native to south america).
Starting off the night right, the band struts their stuff and gets the crowd riled up with their prominent single ‘blackboard.edu’ – slithering onwards to their 2018 EP ‘Wait’, songs like ‘big fat mouth’ and ‘didya think’ (the kings of the jungle, so to speak) were played next and fans can be heard singing back every single word towards the stage. Throughout the night we were met with more songs, serenading guitar riffs, bold infectious drumming, melodic keys, and even a seductive saxophone solo – it’s safe to say this band was broken free that night and is not a group to be easily caged up or boxed in.
