Bass Drum of Death stopped in Austin, TX at the Empire Garage and Control Room on the third stop of their “Say I Won’t” tour. The garage-punk band, originally from Oxford, Mississippi, is celebrating the release of their fifth record, “Say I Won’t.”. The show, like the new album, was charged with raw energy from start to finish. The group consists of Ian Kirkpatrick, John Barrett, and Jim Barrett. The trio knows how to rouse a crowd and keep them engaged. Towards the end of their set, the crowd got rowdy and started crowd surfing; the band joined in and stepped down to play on the amps. Their music rang loud throughout the venue with mind-numbing guitar riffs and showgoers left the venue yelling profanities about how great the show was.
