I had the incredible opportunity to see Benson Boone live at The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lots of musicians float around on the internet these days, but Benson caught my attention very quickly over the past couple of years, so to be able to witness such raw talent up close was a dream come true.
From the moment I entered the venue, I could feel the amount of tension in the air as this sold out room was eagerly awaiting Boone to take the stage. Fans from all over the state and some from even outside North Carolina were gathered in this room united under one purpose.
Benson Boone showcased his versatility and emotional depth as an artist, seamlessly transitioning between upbeat tracks, intimate records, and acoustic moments that proved he was worthy of a sold out tour. He’s more than a “TikTok star”, Benson is a true artist; through and through. When you watch him perform you can tell this is something he was born to do, a bit cliche maybe but it holds true.
Not only is Boone an incredibly talented singer & songwriter, but he also knows how to engage with his audience. He took the time to interact with fans, sharing personal stories and creating a genuine connection that made the concert feel personal and unique.
The production of the show was too perfect, with impressive lighting cues, a sleek stage setup, and more front flips than you can count. The band accompanying Benson was also phenomenal, adding a rare type of richness to his already angelic vocals and stage presence.
Boone's performance at The Ritz left the sweetest taste on my tongue. His passion for music, combined with his undeniable talent and charismatic stage presence, made for one of the best live experiences I've had the pleasure of covering yet. I can't wait to see what the future holds for such a powerhouse of an artist that is Benson Boone.
