BALI, INDONESIA | FEBRUARY 23, 2023 | BY MARIA LOBO

Modjorido interacts with the audience as if they were friends, which makes everyone feel part of the show. Their performance at The Shady Fox in Canggu was no exception.

The Rock’n & Roll band from Bali consists of Rico Mahesi (Vocal Guitar), Donee Sura (bass), Davy Duff (Guitar) and Micah (as an additional drummer). Their charisma on stage kept the audience engaged throughout the show. They brought life and euphoria, especially when they sang the emotional and evocative single Silence (2020), Change (from Modjorido album 2021), and the super charismatic Pink Floyd influenced song, Mantra, also from Modjorido album (2021). They also performed covers from Queen, Queens of the Stone Age and Pink Floyd.

The second part of the evening became even livelier, when the crowd asked them to sing more of their original songs, which is a recurrence in their gigs, especially in Canggu. Everyone got up, danced and sang their hearts out. There is a spark on the stage when the band members interact with each other, playing through guitar and bass riffs, as well as drum solos. At the end of the show, their fans congratulated them and enjoyed a few drinks together.

Their second album is worth keeping an eye on and it will be released in May 2023. Whether you are a tourist, expat or a local, this is an unforgettable experience to have in the Island of the Gods.
