Mothè visited Columbia’s The Senate as one of the openers for Microwave. The last time we saw Mothè was in Charlotte opening for The Wrecks, and they left a lasting impression on us as an up and coming performer with lots to give. That impression has stayed after this run and has only made us more sure that Mothè is a must see artist for everyone. She creates an atmosphere that is safe and welcoming and gives the crowd an outlet to come out of there comfort zones and be themselves as they belt aloud to the lyrics of “photobooth” or “It’s OK to Be Lonely.” Even on a sprained ankle and holding a single crutch, Mothè was able to put on a performance that had everyone entranced, dancing along on the barricade to those in the back swaying as they discovered music they may not have heard before.
