DALLAS, TX | JANUARY 29TH, 2023 | BY DAPHNE STUBBLEFIELD

Folk artist, Noah Kahan, brought a bit of Vermont to Dallas, Texas with his sold out Stick Season tour the other weekend! Noah increased in popularity on TikTok this past year for his raw and vulnerable folk music which many are able to relate to. The House of Blues was full of energy as fans eagerly awaited Noah’s first performance in Dallas, many waiting for hours outside in the freezing temperatures to be up close. That energy remained as Noah took the stage and put on a wonderful show. The venue was full of the sounds of Noah and fans singing back every word of his throughout the entire night. Noah took moments during the show to connect with the crowd, speak on the importance of therapy, and state that maybe one day he’ll “write a song about Texas.” Noah performed favorites from his critically acclaimed “Stick Season” album including ‘Everywhere, Everything’, ‘Orange Juice’, and title track ‘Stick Season,’ along with deep cuts including ‘Young Blood’ and ‘Carlo’s Song’, a song he mentioned was written for a friend of his who passed. It takes a special kind of artist to be able to write songs about places many people in the audience probably have never been to, yet are still able to relate to and connect with and Noah proves to be that artist. While the overarching motif of many songs surround life in a small, New England town, Noah also addresses feelings of grief, burnout, depression, and more in his music which many people have been able to find solace in. Following the show, Noah was kind enough to stop by and say hi to fans waiting around after thanking them for coming, showing how truly humble and down-to-earth he is not only as an artist, but a person. It proved to be a cathartic night for many and we can confidently say that fans hope Noah makes his way back to the Lone Star State soon.
