As the weather warms up, the sun stays out longer, and summer approaches the necessity for a summer soundtrack becomes more pressing every day. In my opinion, nothing screams summer like classic, up beat, girl pop. This genre of music is perfectly encapsulated in one artist, Upsahl. That energy was on full display at her show at Nashville’s, Exit/In. Dressed like a picturesque pop princess, Upsahl pranced around the stage displaying her incredible vocals and dynamic stage presence. Her loud commanding songs were beautifully cut by more emotional ballads that both equally held their own presence.
The entire night she had the audience in the palm of her hand. She told them to dance: they danced. She told them to turn on their flashlights: on came all their flashlights. She told them to go absolutely crazy: the whole room exploded. Every lyric was sung back to her in a loud, passionate way. The connection and love that she had with the entire audience was so obvious that it filled the room with such warm energy like she was singing directly to each individual person.
Upsahl is currently on tour with Madison Beer with her The Spinnin Tour. So whether you're able to catch her headlining the stage, or sharing it with other amazing artists, she is definitely not one to miss out on!
