In support of their debut album, my anti-aircraft friend, Los Angeles shoegaze trio julie flipped the script and proved themselves pro-aircraft worldwide, taking the Bogen F stage in Zürich, Switzerland. robber robber, an indie rock four-piece from Burlington, VT, kicked the night off and held the attention of the sold out venue with an amazing set and captivating swag. In between performances, it was refreshing to see concertgoers cracking themselves up by AirDropping memes to those around them is a global thing - something I wasn’t expecting to have a spot in the middle section of the American vs. European concert culture Venn Diagram I’ve been mentally mapping as I attend shows across both continents. julie then took the stage and delivered an incredible show. The crowd remained unusually calm and collected - another surprise considering julie’s reputation for crowd surfing at their shows. This sense of calm, combined with julie’s flawless performance, created a intimate concert experience with its fair share of delightfully unexpected elements.
